La Paloma Studio is Paloma Spring Fodor

Paloma was born in Santa Barbara, California to parents involved in the arts. She grew up Santa Fe, New Mexico and spent her formative years in her father’s painting studio, thusly being immersed and surrounded by art all her life. She was constantly drawing from the time she could hold a pencil, created monotypes when she was 3, won a school wide award for excellence in art when she was in middle school and went on to study art and design in college in New Mexico and eventually California.

When the Covid crisis hit Paloma moved back to her hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico and wanted to do something to help. She decided making masks was the perfect way to integrate her art background, her caring nature and her passion for creating. She made a few masks for her family and friends, and with their feedback and support she kept on perfecting her designs and patterns.

Now She offers custom fit masks in six different sizes for every unique face, handmade in Santa Fe with love and light!

A variety of fabrics are used for her masks which she curates to reflect and echo her design and aesthetic sensibilities. She loves finding unique and inspired designs that are also colorfully fun. Often times only a few yards are available of the fabrics that are choosen, which makes many of the masks limited editions.

La Paloma Studio is also excited to be representing uniquely designed fabrics for her masks, collaborating with artists from diverse backgrounds and experience. Some fabrics are specifically composed for her mask format, others are umbrella designed patterns, and all are artful and thoughtfully considered. The fabrics from La Paloma Studio vary from thoroughly fun to exotically colorful to subtly elegant to minimally sheik.
