Giving New Life to Old Treasures

Amy Kawadler is Amayla Studio. Amy finds deep pleasure sourcing, designing and building modern heirlooms with treasured objects from another time. By extending the lifecycle of these finds, Amy honors the embodied energy it took to originally create them as well as the individual spirit and journey of each piece. She breathes new life into these treasures, enriching their continued journey. Amy thinks of these as truly renewable resources of both joy and beauty contributing to a happier, more sustainable future.

Amy’s singular Aymala Studio practice incorporates uniquely sourced materials with ideas that are sparked by her tactile and visceral responses to each element she is considering. Every Aymala Studio piece introduces a narrative for the wearer to create their own story—a continuum of collective history to pass along.

Amy Kawadler's jewelry collections at Aymala Studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico are snapshots of the past with an eye to the future: a bridge connecting her personal adventures to the art of adornment.
